Open Heart

Postby mknutson » Fri Oct 26, 2018 11:16 pm

Recovering now from fresh open heart surgery.
Double bypass and aortic valve change.
Can't even move the bikes around in the garage, too heavy!
Riding is done for this year so far, all is healing good though. It's a long slow ordeal with the sternum bone needing to heal up.
Looking to get an XTrainer now instead of the 300rr, lighter and much smoother on the trails.

Mark.

Get well Mark. You will heal up faster than you expect to at this point. I had a quadruple bypass on 12/12/02, was back to riding in early spring of 2003 with the surgeons blessing. I still feel fortunate that it was discovered when it was; the telling symptom came about when I was racing the Canadian cross country series and when described to my cardiologist he ran tests that led to the surgery. So I guess I can seriously say that motorcycling saved my life :P

All the best, Tom

All the best for your recovery
Time to sit back and watch some of Barry's videos
You'll be chomping at the bit by the time they give you the all clear
If your not willing to stand behind our troops
Then try standing in front of them
